Usage and Dilution Instructions
Where severe rusting conditions are likely to occur, use 6 ounces of 50-R per gallon of water. For less severe conditions, use 3 ounces of 50-R per gallon. Solutions should be applied in final stage of parts washer by spray or soak application. Solution temperature can vary from room temperature to 140° F for steel parts and 60° to 80°F for cast iron or sintered metal parts. Solutions which are properly maintained in accordance to manufacturer's recommendations will give a minimum of 2-3 weeks protection if packed wet, 60 to 90 days protection if packed dry. Parts exposed to excessively high humidity, rain, mists, water or salt spray, acid fumes or harsh environments will have reduced protection periods. May be used in hot or cold solutions, however, when inhibiting cast iron or sintered metals, it is strongly recomm ended that ambient or cold water be used.
Handling & Storage
This product does not pose any fire hazards. Use good industrial hygiene practices such as wearing chemical safety goggles, rubber gloves, and an impermeable apron as necessary to prevent personal contact. If eye contact occurs, flush with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and consult a physician. In case of skin contact, wash with soap and water, removing contaminated clothing and shoes. Keep the container tightly closed when not in use. Store product in the original container between 45° and 85°F. When stored as above, shelf life is a minimum of 2 years.
